Not everyone is a marvelous artist in a classic sense. Some people don't feel creative at all. Some have artistic talent but can’t seem to be able to ideate solutions to their own problems or find ways to help other with theirs. Artistic ability is individualistic, the highest levels of which may not be achievable by everyone. Creative ability on the other hand, the ability to think ‘outside-the-box’ in multiple arenas of one’s life, is available to all. Yet one cannot think ‘outside-the-box’ without ‘being outside-the-box.’ The ‘box’ is personal. Each of us has contributed to building the box within which we sometimes reside. Our ‘box’ is the sum of our prejudices, our fears, our insecurities, and what we would call the sources of our anger and resentments. Even our traumas, and the traumas of our progenitors, can contribute to the walls of our box.

The creative spirit is the body of knowledge which continually flows in-between, above, below, and around all the “boxes.” Creative options are disguised, but it is not they who are disguised, it is us, when we are stuck behind walls of our own making. Yet there are solutions to our problems, not so far away from the problems themselves, just on the other side of the wall of our box. Letting go of prejudice, overcoming fears, overpowering insecurities, releasing anger, and healing from trauma, are all acts of breaking down our box and of bringing down our walls. Inborn, intuitive, spontaneous, creative power is available to all of us when the walls of our box have dropped. We suddenly can have sparks of insight that help us understand what to do next, from whom to ask for help, and how to better help others. While in this state we are part of the Creative Spirit.

Creative Spirit (Petro-Person)

Hands are a symbol of action, doing, making, and creating. Many cultures used the image of a hand to convey these ideas. This Petro-Person comes with big hands, and has a hand in the middle, all of which conveys the idea of one being creative in multiple ways.
