A bright outlook on life comes from an inner brightness. All cultures have proven time and time again; happiness does not come from external conditions. An inner brightness does not come from a comfortable living, or a bright happy environment. A “light from the eyes” does not come from outside a person.

History and human nature coincide to show that even the most oppressed, those treated with the most injustice, can and do still find a way to be joyful. A smile coming from the face of one in humble and even horrible circumstances, is evidence of this principle and fact.

Happiness is ultimately a choice. Those who seek joy will find it in simple daily events. Those who seek resentment will find it in simple daily events. These two people can walk side-by-side. Seeing with different eyes...two different worlds. When one sees brightly, one’s inner light lights up the world.

Day Bright (Petro-Person)

Across the Southwest of the United States there are many petroglyph and pictograph images representing the sun, one of the most iconic versions of which is even used on the flag for the state of New Mexico. This figure's entire head is representative of the sun, and it is connected to an additional sun symbol.
